Bolt replied: ‘After the Olympics we work on that…lol..thanks man.’
And there seems no doubt that Bolt is eager to have a chance to impress Ferguson.
‘People think I am joking,’ said Bolt, who goes off in the 200m heats on Tuesday. ‘But if AlexFerguson called me up and said, “OK let’s do this,come and have a trial”, it would be impossible for me to say no.’
And the 25-year-old Jamaican legend, who stillplays football in his free time, has every confidence that his size 13 feet could help do a job for the Premier League outfit.
‘I would not take up the challenge if I didn’t think I was good enough,’ said Bolt, who picked up hissecond 100m Olympic gold medal on Monday evening.
‘I am a very accomplished player and know I could make a difference. I am in Britain for a few more days, if Alex Ferguson wants to giveme a call he knows where I am.’
