[INTERVIEW]One On One With El-Wizzy a.k.a Mr. Owe Nobody

The Owe nobody crooner and one of the just emerged BBTA best upcoming artiste Mr Elwizzy speaks to GMUZIK9JA.An artiste with a difference,singer/rapper who is fast upcoming in the system who got a perch to fame with his first debute single 'OWE NOBODY'.GMUZIK9JA caught up with
him On Friday night after his performance and below goes an interactive interview with him.




GMUZIK9JA: Hello EL,can we meet the real you?

ELWIZZY: cool, Wisdom Elochukwu Udemba is my name,an Imo state born singer/rapper on his strive to success.

GMUZIK9JA: those are your real names,yOU are igbo then, so how come ELWIZZY?

ELWIZZY: (smiles) ELWIZZY is an acronym for two of my names,the local and English name which is EL for ELOCHUKWU and WIZZY for WISDOM

GMUZIK9JA: Your performance tonight was very hot,to be honest i've not heard much about you so i don't get why you got such lively response from the crowd,whats behind it?

ELWIZZY: omo na God oh! u cant be as surprised as i was, as a matter of fact the response ginja me like mad,i did some dance steps the first time tonight on stage,its just the Lord's doing.

GMUZIK9JA: I see, you performed two songs, one of which you featured kellyhansome, for real? but we where meant to know he's not 9ja based,how was it meeting him?

ELWIZZY: yeah,for real i featured him,its a long story bro,like i said before, its the lords doing,kellyhansome has been my icon right from the time i've never known what a studio looks like, I prayed about it and God answered me,true,he's US based but we met and worked in 9ja...its just the lord's doing.....and the song i did with him has really helped me a lot...i owe him loyalty!

GMUZIK9JA: i see,so do you base in lagos? you stay alone or with parents?

ELWIZZY: eeerrrm,do you expect me to answer that?? hahahaha,abeg shurn am....am 9ja based simple! i've never stayed alone before...i stay with any one i love...i've just answered you sef hahahaha!

GMUZIK9JA: hahaha! funny you,so how long have u been into music?

ELWIZZY:eeeerrrm,i would say i've been into music all my life cox as far as i could remember i've ever loved doing music but professionally I've been in the industry for 2years,i dropped my first single last year titled 'OWE NOBODY',its an RnB Jam,i sang on the track,but working on the remix soon

GMUZIK9JA: so what genre of music do you do?

ELWIZZY:eeeeem,eeeeeerm...

wanted to do classic RnB but with 9ja market i switched,i would say i do "Urban contemporary" which i do with the mixture of rapping and singing.

GMUZIK9JA: so what label are you under now cox we gathered that you just rejected a deal offer from AIR RECORDS an abuja based label and REKODOX RECORDS an east based record,whats the record behind these rejections?

ELWIZZY: What the fuuuur??? sorry bro but daaamn how come you know this?i never sang with it you know? and like you earlier said you've not heard much about me which is true and i don't think anyone has so how come?? anyway i gat no LABEL boss for now,some people may think i rejected those deals cos of their conditions,but honestly its not so,i did cox I've gat lota personal dealings I've gat to tackle on my own,wouldn't be easy for me if i should have a boss,I know what i mean,I still have a Boss tho,a manager who's also my cousin 'EddyCee' that's all i gat for now behind my music...still at that, there are some kinda label that i wouldnt mind ignore what ever personal issue am having and go for it...u know as e be naaah


GMUZIK9JA: like you are in a hest,would have love to hear you further,ok,how do fans or rather bookings reach you?
