After a successful almost two year run as Samsung Brand Ambassador, R&B powerhouse and EME Chairman, Banky Wis not slowing down this year as his list of numerous achievements continues to grow.
Banky W has signed his second endorsement deal with leading digital media and convergence technology company, Samsung Electronics West Africa which is valued at more than 100Mnaira.
Banky W along with Nollywood star, Kate Henshaw will be the face of Samsung Electronics West Africa Mobile Division. They will work together raising awarenessfor Samsung mobile products and ultimately contribute to making Samsungphones the preferred brand in the West Africa sub-region.
Officials of Samsung have described Mr Wellington as one who represents the values Samsung stands for which is his quality, depth of work and versatility as an artiste that has endeared him to fans in and outside Nigeria.
“The Samsung brand stands for qualities of innovation, change, discovery, self-expression and excellence in performance and these very same qualities are epitomized by Banky W. We are indeed very proud and privileged to have him as our Brand Ambassador.” Managing Director, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Brovo Kim says.
Banky W has also signed endorsement deals with brands like Telecommunications Company Etisalat, CocaCola Bottling Company among others.
“It pleases me to know that my hard work is recognized and appreciated in differentcorporate sectors and industries. This is my second run as a Samsung brand ambassador and I’m grateful for the opportunity.” Banky W said in a recent interview.
Along with major achievements in his stable including his selection as one of Nigeria’s representatives to lift the Olympic Torch in 2012, the singer and songwriter announced last week that he is set to treat fans to an intimate concert this Valentine as he unveils his hugely anticipated album of the year titled “R&BW”.
Banky has also revealed the album cover for the long awaited album which reveals collabos with A-listers like 2Face, M.I, eLDee, Sarkodie, Vector, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee, Rotimi among other acts.
R&BW “The Grand Love” Concert, will hold at The Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday, February 15, 2013 and will feature the EME star team, Wizkid, Skales, Niyola, Shaydee and DJ Exclusive led by Banky W himself along with some of Nigeria’s biggest names in R&B. They include Wande Coal, Darey, Tiwa Savage, Bez, Blacky and Faze.
Other star performers include Lynxxx, Sound Sultan, Iyanya, Praiz, Omawumi, Waje, J Martins, May D, Chidinma among many others. There will also be appearances by some of Nigeria’s hottest comedians.
Special guests appearance will also be made at the special Valentine concert by Don Jazzy and Yvonne Nelson as well as other special surprises.
R&BW “The Grand Love” Concert is supported by TheBeat99.9FM, MTV Base, Channel O, SoundCity, The Silverbird Group, Wings, CoolFM, RhythmFM and Trace TV.
The concert is also powered by Samsung Mobile , Spinlet and Hennessy .
