When I listened to Davido’s new track, Gobe, I noticed it doesn’t sound very new to me, but that’s normal… Until 36NG’s attention was called to a previously released single by Password (Producer of General Pype’s Champion) titled Gobe.
On listening to Password’s version of Gobe (Released 2011) , it occurred to us that Davido might have hijacked Password’s works without consent (at least its not a remix). We haven’t been told as at the time of post if Password willbe pushing for copyright infringement as at the time of post.
This case is not new in the music industry, Davido might as well get away with this.
Listen to the two songs and compare the similarities between the two songs and the negligible differences.
