Adam Levine Named People’s Sexiest Man Alive

Adam Levine has been name the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.

The Maroon 5 frontman appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday to officially accept the flattering award.

“Thank you. This is a tremendous honor. Unbelievable. A lot of people kind of trivialize this sort of thing,” Levine said, laughing as he held a trophy handed to him by the late night host.

“They think it’s shallow, they think it’s just a silly media stunt used to sell magazines and perpetuate the image of Hollywood being based on looks. And that’s totally true. It is. But I’m completely cool with that.

“This award actually means everything to me. Becoming this cool, confident and seductive has been quite a journey.”

“The Voice” mentor went on to sarcastically thank family and friends for their part in his receiving this high honor.

“First and foremost, my mother and father, both incredibly sexy. Especially my dad, thanks man. I’d like to thank all my friends for constantly telling me how f—ing good I look.”

Levine then reflected on past celebrities who held the No. 1 spot on the coveted list before him and even those who have graciously turned it down.

“Ryan Gosling, thank you for turning this down constantly,” the 34-year-old rocker quipped about the 33-year-old hunky actor.

“That really helped my campaign.”
