We love the African movie world – either on camera or off camera, there is always drama – especially fashion drama when it comes to award shows. On the 16th of November at the London Hilton Metropole, some players in the African movie world gathered for the 2013 ZAFAA Global Awards (The African Film Festival and Academy Awards).
As the event was organised by Nollywood Entertainment Ltd, UK, the event was naturally attended by mostly Nollywood UK actors. The biggest winner of the night was Yvonne Nelson, who won multiple awards including Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Director for her movies, House of Gold and Single & Married.
In the fashion corner, Yvonne Nelson didn’t fail to impress with her fitted Royal blue velvet evening dress with a low cut back and very long sleeves. The Aneke twins also impressed in matching outfits – a very long black satin evening gown. Also in attendance wasIbinabo Fibersima in a two piece clean cut ankara. Singer May7ven also attended the event with gun’s blazing in sheer ‘full lingerie on display’ jumpsuit.
